For me colors and sounds are two ways to express the creation of "my" soul. The only thing "I" can really create.
At the beginning of 2000 I’ve come back from three months trip to India.
I didn’t want any more running after.
I decided to quit and find something that I’ll be able to do with out someone telling me how much I am worth.
Even when they paid me ten of thousands of dollars I always felt their power.
I stopped, made a frame, put a bed sheet and started painting my first flowers painting.
In time I’ve refined my touch, subjects and techniques.
Most of my paintings are on a voile canvas which I pin to a frame I make.
I put on a base of white acrylic wall paint which create different textures as the voile is airy , with small holes that allow the paint to go back and forth.
The painting teqnique is characterized by unformal thinking, concerning materials that can live in peace next/on to each other.
Except for oil paints, I use every thing no matter what is written on the sticker of the paint.
Many unique effects were born using paints in different combinations that helped creating the light that accompany my works.
Today I paint on silk which needs not only functions but consciousness as well.
The delicate material needs all I have in order to give its light back.
I wish you’ll enjoy the art works as a visitor as well as an owner of my works.
Bless you,
Anicca
